The river
A beach on the Catawba.
Our position on the bank gives us something most campgrounds don’t have: a small sandy beach where the water runs shallow and slow. It’s the centre of the park in summer — kids in the shallows, chairs in the water, somebody always fishing downstream.
Kayaks and canoes put in easily, and Catawba River Outdoors is minutes away if you’d rather rent than haul.
